IdeaPaint and Breakaway have been partners since 2008 when the company introduced its brilliant dry erase paint into the world. Breakaway became an equity stakeholder and branding partner, positioning the company as a collaborative and creative work technology for the world’s most innovative companies and schools. Today, IdeaPaint can be found powering the mindgiants at Google, Apple, Nike, NASA, Starbucks, MIT, Harvard and thousands of other places around the world.

BRAND IDENTITY

Breakaway created a modern, sophisticated identity to help elevate the brand from paint company to technology firm. Simple, bold, with lots of whitespace and an aesthetic quality that appeals to architects and designers.   

BRAND BOOK

IdeaPaint is a visual product. There’s no better way to understand how it can be used and to spark ideas than to see it in action. We designed a brand look book to showcase the product installed in unique environments.

PACKAGING

IdeaPaint is so much more than a paint. So why put it in traditional paint packaging? We created a kit that housed everything you need to install the product and put it inside a graphic box. We also labeled the two-part product This and That instead of Part A and B (if you're mixing That into This, you have bigger issues).

WEBSITE

Functionally, the website home page drove users down a specific path based on how they planned to use the product. Visually, we wanted to be a fly on the wall and showcase how people worked together and the energy created by IdeaPaint.

Lots of clean white space to reflect the possibilities IdeaPaint creates. The site celebrates beautiful installations and is rich with content from case studies to how-to videos. A Netsuite e-commerce platform was integrated to manage and drive online purchase. 

PRINT CAMPAIGN

A channel specific print campaign was developed targeting innovative schools and creative companies. Ads showed beautiful IdeaPaint installations and a call to see more examples in our online look book.

CASE STUDY VIDEO

Multiple videos were created as case studies to show how other successful companies have utilized IdeaPaint within their spaces. This video was shot at PayPal’s new space in Boston.

BRANDED CONTENT

We help keep IdeaPaint at the forefront of the innovation wave by creating branded thought leadership content. This piece on inspiring big ideas was both a downloadable e-book that drove qualified web leads and social chatter, as well as a printed book that was given out at events and trade shows. 

SOCIAL MEDIA

Big stories, strategic partnerships and loyal customers are all on social media waiting for a hello and to be connected. We found something great happening at Eisenhower High School in Chicago when a teacher took it into his own hands to makeover his learning environment to better engage his students. We looped in Evernote to make the impact even bigger and jumped in head first to help the teacher realize his vision.
